A Quick Word on Airflow
Waterproofing is a bit of a balancing act. To keep the guts of the heater from overheating while keeping the water out, we designed specific venting paths. It works great, but there’s one catch:don’t block the vents. If you pile bedding or lean feed bags against the unit, you’ll trip the thermal cutoff. Just give the heater some breathing room, and it’ll stay happy.
The Long Game
After five years of constant use, oxidation and wear are inevitable. It just happens. But since we treated the heater as a collection of parts rather than one sealed block, the cost of keeping things running drops significantly. You only replace the part that actually wears out—the tube—and you keep the expensive housing and wiring.
