It&amp;rsquo;s simpler: the heat goes straight from the source to the substrate. No middleman.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;speed-and-smarts&#34;&gt;Speed and Smarts&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Old-school resistive heaters are slow. They lag. But IR? It’s almost instant.&#xA;When you hook these up to a digital control loop, you can tweak the temperature on the fly. It&amp;rsquo;s a total shift in how you handle the process. We use high-watt density lamps, which is &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.net&#34;&gt;great&lt;/a&gt; because you can save a ton of space without losing that aggressive temperature ramp you need.&#xA;Just a heads-up: if you&amp;rsquo;re picking out gear, make sure your heaters play nice with your PLC-based PID controllers. If they don&amp;rsquo;t, you&amp;rsquo;re looking at temperature overshoot and a pile of scrapped wafers. Nobody wants that.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
